our story

We are an 1840’s limestone manor located in the hamlet of Battersea just 20 minutes north of downtown Kingston, Ontario, CANADA. It was built as the VanLuven House by the founder of Battersea, Henry VanLuven. Over the years it existed as a home, aboutique hotel and recently a fishing lodge. We moved from Toronto in July 2016 to Battersea calling our new country adventure- the Holiday Manor. Our goal is to create a food and beverage, accommodations and events venue settled in a unique setting in Kingston’s countryside. We are open to the public during dining hours and for private events. Stop by for a meal, come experience some of our events and see the progress.
